A polytope is either a point, or a shape whose hypercells are all other polytopes. In other words, a polytope is a shape whose hypercells are all flat.
Polytopes are grouped by their dimension into the polygons, polyhedra, polychora, polytera, polypeta, etc.
They can also be grouped into subsets, for example, powertopes and uniform polytopes.
