A prism is a polyhedron formed by extruding any polygon. The polygon used in forming the prism is called the base of the prism.

In CSG notation, if x represents the base, then:

  • if x is biframe,
    • xE represents the corresponding triframe prism
    • xH represents the corresponding biframe prism
  • if x is monoframe,
    • xE represents the corresponding uncapped prism
    • xH represents the corresponding monoframe prism
  • if x is nullframe, xE and xH represent unnamed shapes.
