Jonathan Bowers (ConceptTopic, 3)

From Hi.gher. Space

Jonathan Bowers is an amateur mathematician known for his work on polytopes and on the representation of very large numbers. He sometimes refers to himself as Hedrondude or Dimension dude.

He participated in the Uniform Polychora Project, an attempt to enumerate all uniform 4D polytopes, especially the non-convex ones. He discovered thousands of non-convex figures (at one point it numbered in the 8000's) which later were reduced to exclude exotic cases and non-well-behaved objects. The current count of uniform polychora sits at 1849, not including fissary cases.

In particular, his work on powertopes inspired Keiji to discover the brick product operation.
