There are currently two guideline for article titles. The following guidelines also apply to categories:

Article titles must be nouns.: Pages with titles in other parts of speech may be used as redirects to other articles, but articles themselves must be titled with a noun. Note that the noun form of a verb may take the "-ing" ending, for example Lathing.

Avoid double adjective suffixes.: Examples of article titles which have been changed before this guideline was set are Rotopic index (from Rotopical index) and Category:Geometric properties (from Geometrical properties).
