A formable shape is one defined as some function of a base shape. Formable shapes may or may not also involve parameters, but all require a base.
For example: a hyperpyramid is a shape formable from a base shape and a point parameter; a hyperprism is a shape formable from a base shape and a length parameter, and a hypersurface of revolution is a shape formable from a base shape and no parameter.
