Construction is the process of taking one or more base shapes and performing some operation to produce a new shape. Well-known operations include:
- extrusion (making a prism)
- tapering (making a pyramid)
- lathing (making a surface of revolution)
- spheration (making a torus)
- the brick product (which can make powertopes and bracketopic products)
- various forms of truncation
- alternation (which can make snubs)
