There are currently two guideline for article titles. The following guidelines also apply to categories:
- Article titles must be nouns.
- Pages with titles in other parts of speech may be used as redirects to other articles, but articles themselves must be titled with a noun. Note that the noun form of a verb may take the "-ing" ending, for example Lathing.
- Avoid double adjective suffixes.
- Examples of article titles which have been changed before this guideline was set are Rotopic index (from Rotopical index) and Category:Geometric properties (from Geometrical properties).
In addition, category titles must either be plural nouns, mass nouns, or topics.
- Examples: Category:Constructed languages (a plural noun), Category:Geometry (a mass noun) and Category:Fusion (a topic)
