Schrödinger Cat

what does Schrödinger Cat have to do with anything? (yes i have searched it in the wiki) does it just say that when the gas is released, and that cat dies, the cat can actually still be alive, but we can only see one form of it? a 50/50 that we see either its live form or its dead form?

firstly, it's Schrödinger's Cat.

it just says that anything that happens at random is undetermined before we observe it.

Ah, but what if Schrödinger is outwitted by his cat, and HE ends up in the box where his life depends on whether or not some random event occurs. Does someone else have to observe him to determine his state of existence?

It could happen. I have a cat who outwits people all the time.

Then would that reverse problem be called "Schrödinger's cat's Schrödinger"?

what things would happen at random though? and when you mean "is undetermined before we observe it." do you mean, the result is undetermined?

That interpretation doesn't help me much, because i'm left asking, "What qualifies as an observer?"

Couldn't the car observe itself? Or Schroedinger in the turnabout version? How about a rock which may or may not be scratched? What is meant by observation?
