A Kana mnemonic is a short string of halfwidth Katakana characters, used a mnemonic for some uniform polytopes. This concept was devised by Hayate to produce shorter (when written) and more easily pronuncible "words" than Bowers acronyms.

It has been rendered obsolete, mainly due to being unreadable. However, it did inspire the term kanitope, convenient shorthand for "convex non-prismatic Wythoffian uniform polytope". It also inspired the tables listing these kanitopes, which can be found at Table of kanihedra and Table of kanichora.
