Construction of BT-polytopes via partial Stott-expansion

Discussion of known convex regular-faced polytopes, including the Johnson solids in 3D, and higher dimensions; and the discovery of new ones.

I now applied the spreadsheet advice of lengths evaluations for the lacing edges onto Fxox3xoxf3oFxx *b3oxfo&#zx. Thereby I get able to correct my initial post on that one.

The size of the lacing "edges" oo..3oo..3oo.. *b3oo..&#a and o.o.3o.o.3o.o. *b3o.o.&#b here both evaluate as a=b=f ! - All other lacing ones are correctly of unity. Thus I had to erase those former used "edges" from my incidence matrix and likewise all higher dimensional elements, which did use these edges.

On the other hand this special lacing size then showed that .... xo.f ....    ....&#zx becomes coplanar and thus truely defines a regular unit-sided pentagon!
Further then, using this one, I recognized now .... xo.f3.... *b3ox.o to be a teddi!
And moreover .... xoxf3oFxx    ....&#zx represents a thawro!

Thus the vertex count clearly remains valide: 336.
But not so the then proclaimed cell list. Instead we now have:

8 coes,
8+32=40 octs,
96 squippies,
32 teddies,
32 thawroes,
48+48=96 trips, and
8 tuts.

(The subsequent ones also will get corrected in the sequel.)

Next I just checked the lacing edges of fooo3xxoF3xfxo *b3oxFo&#zx (cf. that initial post).

Here it occured that the size of the lacings o.o.3o.o.3o.o. *b3o.o.&#a and of ..oo3..oo3..oo *b3..oo&#b both evaluate as a=b=f. Thus I had to erase here as well all those former used "edges" from my incidence matrix and likewise all higher dimensional elements, which did use these edges.

On the other hand this special lacing size then showed that .... .... .fxo    ....&#zx becomes coplanar and thus truely defines a regular unit-sided pentagon!
Further then, using this one, I recognized now .... xxoF3xfxo    ....&#zx to be a thawro!

Thus the vertex count clearly remains valide: 248.
But not so the then proclaimed cell list. Instead we now have:

96+32+8=136 tets,
32 thawros
32 tricues, and
8+8=16 tuts.

Stella4D (the latest version of it) is now capable of taking raw coordinates in an Ogg 4D file and produce the convex hull of them - this was a suggestion of mine to Robert Webb.

Klitzing wrote:... The matrices come out correctly, so at least some such structure should exist. But I cannot say much about the geometric realization.

E.g. meanwhile run through g = Fooo3oxoF3ofxo *b3xxFo&#zx as well. That one then has 32+96+32+24 = 184 vertices. Cells ought to be 8+32+96+96+192+32+8 = 464 tets, 32 tricues, 96 squippies, and 8 tuts. - But then I spotted an edge class in the matrix, which shall have 6 incident tets. :o_o: - So either I made some further error in calculation, or it simply is not possible with unit edges only (e.g. by having longer lacing ones, and so dihedral angles would change accordingly). ... :o

Next I just checked the lacing edges of that candidate (cf. refered to post).

Here it occured that the size of the lacings oo..3oo..3oo.. *b3oo..&#a, o.o.3o.o.3o.o. *b3o.o.&#b, o..o3o..o3o..o *b3o..o&#c, and ..oo3..oo3..oo *b3..oo&#d all evaluate to a=b=c=d=f ! Thus the level 1 vertices (containing e.g. unit edged tets by themselves: .... o...3o... *b3x...) cannot get connected to the other vertex levels (by unit edges) at all!

So that one, after all, fails to produce a CRF. :(
And the there mentioned 6 tet around an edge problem thus gets solved too. :]

The proclaimed Fxox3xxxf3oFxx *b3xoFx&#zx of that post too finally breaks down. (Sure, as abstract polytope it remains valid, but not as CRF.) :angry:

This is because its edges oo..3oo..3oo.. *b3oo..&#a, o.o.3o.o.3o.o. *b3o.o.&#b, and .oo.3.oo.3.oo. *b3.oo.&#c all have edge size a=b=c=f. Thus of the former cell list only the cubes, the tuts, and 144 of the trips remain uniform. The other one would become non-uniform variants only. But I cannot spot any local cell rearrangement to make that one become CRF again. :sweatdrop:

Finally to the remaining, so far not further evaluated case j = Fxoo3oooF3oFxo *b3xoFo&#zx.
Sadly in that case all lacing edges turn out to have a size of f, so this one too cannot become CRF. :sweatdrop:

Sorry for all that to and fro of my recent mails. But I'd think this is a discussion forum, and so it should be allowed to announce promises, discuss troubles, and finally bury them as illusions. ;)

At least we had finally come up with 2 new seemingly working CRFs, which thus prove the her considered "multi quirking" (x -> (-x)) to be allowable under some circumstances: that one :) and that one! :)

(Would now like to get some renders of those... :P )

That's a pitty indeed, but knowing something isn't CRF is also a result, so we're making progress ;)

I don't think that to be a wrong working method, I use it myself sometimes as well. On the other hand this method highly confuses me which things are and which aren't CRF. As far as got it, You have investigated the following:
Demicubic expansions of ex:
middle-node expansions:
0 double-quirks applied => foxo3xxxF3xfoo*b3oxfo CRF (24-augmented prissi)
1 double quirk applied => fooo3xxoF3xfxo*b3oxFo CRF
2 double quirks applied => Fooo3oxoF3ofxo*b3xxFo&#zx not CRF
3 double quirks applied => Fxoo3oooF3oFxo *b3xoFo&#zx not CRF

side-node expansion:
1 arm => Fxox3ooxf3xfoo*b3oxfo CRF (D4.11.1)
2 arms => Fxox3xoxf3oFxx*b3oxfo CRF
3 arms => Fxox3xxxf3oFxx*b3xoFx not CRF

At least we had finally come up with 2 new seemingly working CRFs, which thus prove the her considered "multi quirking" (x -> (-x)) to be allowable under some circumstances: that one :) and that one! :)

(Would now like to get some renders of those... :P )

Those renders are still a problem. is this listing right? it looks like a mostly exhaustive investigation of expansions of ex

is this listing right?

Yes student91, that is exactly what I considered so far.

it looks like a mostly exhaustive investigation of expansions of ex

... with respect to the demicubic subsymmetry of ex = foxo3ooof3xfoo *b3oxfo&#zx, for sure.

  • Double quirks then stick always to the same layer. Multiple double quirks accordingly to multiple layers.
  • "Side node expansions" use multiple layer applications of single quirks.
  • Mixtures of single quirk and double quirk on different layers could be considered too, but then cannot be expanded back to convexity without producing an u-edge.
  • Any triple quirk here would just undo the second.
Thus again yes, looks indeed exhaustive.

The first axial expansion of ex has already been found, and is given by x3o5o||o3o5x||o3x5o||f3o5o||o3x5o||o3o5x||x3o5o. it's lace-city looks like this:

A=F+x=f+2x
B=V+x=2f+x

This is a polytope with quite some tetrahedra, 24 icosahedra, 20 triangular prisms and 60 squippies.

...

Finally got some time to wrap my mind around that one (the first expansion it is). You first introduced that one in this post, beginning some sub-thread of following discussions. In that Initial post you state that this extension ought contain itself bilbiroes. - Now you state it doesn't. - We will see!

In the sequel of this discussion then in this post it was proved that this suggested polychoron indeed would be convex at least. Moreover the structure of its bistratic tropical segment was understood to be nothing but "twau iddip", i.e. a twelf-augmented id-prism. Here each augmentation part then is a "pippy" (pip-pyramid).

Accordingly the incidence matrix of that deep paradiminishing of that axial mono-expanded ex then reads:
Code: Select all
ofo3xox5ooo&#xt = blend of  x o3x5o (iddip)  with 12  ox ox5oo&#x (pippy)

o..3o..5o..    & | 60  * |   4   2  1 |  2  2   4  4  2 | 1  2  2  4  id layers

... x.x ...&#x   |  4  0 |   2   0  2 |  *  *   * 60  * | 0  0  1  1
ooo3ooo5ooo&#x   |  2  1 |   0   2  1 |  *  *   *  * 60 | 0  0  0  2
-----------------+-------+------------+-----------------+-----------
o..3x..5o..    & | 30  0 |  60   0  0 | 20 12   0  0  0 | 2  *  *  *  id

... xox ...&#x   |  4  1 |   2   4  2 |  0  0   2  1  2 | *  *  * 60  squippy

Next we will consider a medial paradiminishing. That one would contain the next layer on either side in addition. The added segmentochoron (on either side) then is nothing but doe||id, having prominent paps (pentagonal antiprisms) within. These will align with pentagonal pyramids (peppies) of the so far considered bistratic part. The question thus arises whether those are corealmic or not. - In fact they are, as can be seen like this. Within ex we have the same sorts of layers, just slightly rearranged at its central part. Esp. the doe layer of one side, its equatorial id layer, and the f-ike layer of the other side o have exactly the same relation as have the doe layer, the id layer of the same side, and the equatorial f-ike layer of this expanded one. But ex can be diminished to have ikes. Thus this gyroelongated pentagonal pyramid (gyepip) indeed is a single cell here, not 2 disjoint ones.

The incidence matrix of this one then reads:

Code: Select all
oofoo3oxoxo5xooox&#xt

o....3o....5o....    & | 40  *  * |  3   3   0   0  0 |  3   3  3  0   0  0  0 | 1  1  3  0  0 doe layers

Thus indeed ikes, trips, and tets. No bilbiroes so far.

Re: Construction of BT-polytopes via partial Stott-expansion

Klitzing wrote:[...]
Finally got some time to wrap my mind around that one (the first expansion it is). You first introduced that one in this post, beginning some sub-thread of following discussions. In that Initial post you state that this extension ought contain itself bilbiroes. - Now you state it doesn't. - We will see!
though I quite literally said the opposite, I meant to say that it doesn't have bilbiro-cells. It does have the structure of a bilbiro: when you delete two corresponding vertices of the ids, you delete the apex of a bilbiro-pseudopyramid, revealing a bilbiro that has formerly been internal to the polytope.

The second expansion moves the apices of four (if I'm right) bilbiro-pseudopyramids, in the same way the expansion ike=>bilbiro takes away the apices of four pentagonal pyramids. In the same manner some ikes will get revealed. I am still not able to understand it's full structure though, and thus cannot tell how many ikes and diminished ikes it will have. The number of bilbiroes will probably be 8.

Thus indeed ikes, trips, and tets. No bilbiroes so far.

Great! You were also able to tell quite a bit about the demitesseractic expansions of ex, do you have incmats of these as well? (As long as we don't have renders I would really like to discover the structure of these in this manner, with polytopes I fully don't understand).
Also I have thought about a triple resp. quadruple axial expansion of ex. Quadruple is for sure only possible if triple is possible. Conversely I think that if triple is possible, quadruple will also be possible for sure.

Besides, I haven't been able to understand the connection between [5,3,3] and [[3,3,3]]. It seems they don't have a connection. Ex does have tetrahedral antiprismatic symmetry though, which is quite similar though not the same. If this connection is not based on this symmetry, I have no idea what it is based on then. Could Wendy give me a hint regarding this connection?
How easily one gives his confidence to persons who know how to give themselves the appearance of more knowledge, when this knowledge has been drawn from a foreign source.

First on that bit, as it is Independent and faster to answer.

Best it would be to consider "mix", the medial hexacosachoron, or mete star. It has Coxeter symbol {5,3,3}[120{3,3,3}]{3,3,5}, which means that it is a compound of 120 pens (= {3,3,3} = x3o3o3o), which are arranged such that the convex hull would be (a scaled) hi = {5,3,3} = x5o3o3o, and its kernel would be (a scaled) ex = {3,3,5} = x3o3o5o.

That one is the 4D analogon to the 3D "ki", the chiral icosahedron, which has Coxeter symbol {5,3}[5{3,3}]{3,5}. Thus that one would be a (chiral) compound of 5 tets (= {3,3} = x3o3o), arranged such that the convex hull would be a doe (= {5,3} = x5o3o), and its kernel would be an ike (= {3,5} = x3o5o).

Re: Construction of BT-polytopes via partial Stott-expansion

Postby wendy » Sat Jul 12, 2014 7:29 am

student91 asks about [[3,3,3]] in [3,3,5].

This is a fairly messy affair, but i hope this helps. Numbers are twelfty(decimal), the decimal translates the twelfty.

The vertices of x3o3o3x lie among those of x3o3o5o, this is quite clear from the face-first sections given in Coxeter's 'regular polytopes'. These are the eutactic stars of these groups, this means that the mirrors run perpendicular to the vertex-diameters of these polytopes. The mirrors of [3,3,3] are thus part of [3,3,5]. The necessary wander to make [3,3,3] into [[3,3,3]] can be done by central inversion, which is also part of [3,3,5].

The vertices of x3o3o3o fall among those of x5o3o3o, the relevant section is 5/8 of the total diameter. This ring contains 28 vertices, of which 4 have full tetrahedral symmetry. This leads to the 'mete star'. The designation 'star' is given to a compound, only when the complete symmetry of an element appears in the compound. Outside the polygrams {np/nd}, there is only the stella-octangula (in 3d), the stella tegmata, the stella prismata, and the mete star. (compounds of 2 {3,3}, 3 {3,3,4}, 3 {4,3,3} and 100(120) {3,3,3} resp.).

Because the complete symmetry of [3,3,3] lies in [3,3,5], one then comes to trying to identify how the great arrows of the former lie in the latter. Until today, i have been decieved by mis-interpreting an incorrect diagram, which supposes that the digonal and trigonal rotations were orthogonal. The thing orthogonal to a trigonal rotation is in fact a mirror. So the hunt is on to figure out how one can pick 20 great arrows out of 340 (400) vertices of a bi-dodecahedron prism, and 30 great arrows out of 760 (900) vertices of a bi - ID prism.

In the {5,3,3} there are not 100(120) pentachora, but 700(840). The additional 600(720) lie by 20s on the vertices of 36 bi-decagonal prisms that form the middle section of the grand antiprism, which leads to a finding of compounds here.

The remaining 100(120) fall into a special colour group, in that a pair of pents, (ie xo3oo3ox), is repeated 60 times to make the 500(600) vertices of x5o3o3o.

I imagaine one could build a x5o3o3o or even x3o3o5o as a kind of lace prism in 3,3,3. I never really tried this, but Coxeter's table of face-first {3,3,5} would be an ideal place to start.

All the required sections of face-first {3,3,5} are readily presented in my page of ex.
The respective hights then can be calculated from unit-lacings by means of the spreadsheet.

(Looks like I'll have to to elaborate the corresponding incidence matrix. :lol: )

But then, this rather is the representation within o2o3o3o symmetry, not within o3o3o3o !

If ye look at Richard's table on his 'ex' page, of vertex-first x3o3o5o, ye can see how to walk the cells to get the ten tetrahedra of the same colour.

Select a tetrahedron. Now, the next four are found by going to the apex of the adjacent faces, directly across the apex and down the height of that tetrahedron. Cross this into a tet of the same colour as the first. Ie: x |> <| x where |> and <| are tetrahedra crossed.

Thanks, richard.

Thanks for these tips, they really helped me out. I can now say that ex can be written as x3o3f3o + f3x3o3o + f3o3o3f + o3o3x3f + o3f3o3x, or xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx. All lacing edges are of length x, except the one between o3o3x3f and f3x3o3o, which is f. Expansions now are also discoverable in pentachoric symmetry.

Always wellcome.

Expansions now are also discoverable in pentachoric symmetry.

Then those to be checked single quirks would be:
xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx -> (-x)ffoo3xxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx -> oFFxx3xxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx   *)
xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx -> xFfoo3o(-x)oof3fxoxo3ooffx&#zx -> xFfoo3xoxxF3fxoxo3ooffx&#zx   *)

Double quirks (within the same layer) alone are not possible to be expanded to CRF (u edges being required). Same for triple quirks alone and for quadruple quirks alone.
But further we could consider such applications at multiple layers independently. This then re-opens the above exclusions for discussion again.
Detailed study of cases might follow. - For now it's just too late...

This is amazing. You can even write out coordinates for it, because there is an AP coordinate system for the simplex.

x3o3o3o gives 1,0,0,0,0 o3x3o3o gives 1,1,0,0,0, o3o3x3o gives 1,1,1,0,0 and o3o3o3x gives 1,1,1,1,0. You add up the coordinates, and subtract a fifth of the sum from each element.

so x3o3fo gives 1,0,0,0 + f,f,f,0,0 = F,f,f,0,0. ie 10 + f + f = ff. On the other hand o3f3o3x gives F,F,f,f,0 ie f1 + f + f = 10f. f3o3o3f gives 2f,f,f,f,0 => f,0,0,0,-f.

Nice. In the structure of the just discovered pSe are some thawro-pseudopyramids. The apices of these pyramids are the triangles of the coes. These triangles can be moved away in a further pSe when expanding on the third node. This would give you oFFxx3xxoof3foo(-x)o3oofFx&#zx => oFFxx3xxoof3Fxxox3oofFx&#zx. Of course you can see this pSe as a double pSe starting with ex.

Besides, I think I have to talk a bit about the following conclusions:
Klitzing wrote:
it looks like a mostly exhaustive investigation of expansions of ex

... with respect to the demicubic subsymmetry of ex = foxo3ooof3xfoo *b3oxfo&#zx, for sure.

Thus again yes, looks indeed exhaustive.

most things here are correct, but not the last conclusion. You can easily apply triple quirk without getting back your starting position, e.g. foxo3ooof3xfoo*b3oxfo => fo(-x)o3ooxf3xfoo*b3oxfo => fooo3oo(-x)f3xfxo*b3oxFo => fooo3ooof3xf(-x)o*b3oxFo. This then gives a challenge for the third conclusion, as fooo3ooof3xf(-x)o*b3oxFo => fooo3xoof3(-x)f(-x)o*b3oxFo =E=> fooo3xoof3oFox*b3oxFo might be CRF, though I doubt that, as there's much stuff taken away by negative nodes, probably revealing some f-edges. This means the search here was still exhaustive, but for different reasons. Therefore I think we have been a bit too fast at concluding the thing to be exhaustive, and we should take more such care in the future.

Right, that 3rd one surely undoes the retrograde edge at the center, but produces a prograde one at a different arm now. So this one should be allowed. Moreover, when fooo3xoof3oFox*b3oxFo&#zx would be CRF, then likewise Fxxx3xoof3oFox*b3oxFo&#zx also would.

Sadly, application of the spreadsheet uncovers that the 3rd level vertices are connected to any other only by f-edges. Thus none of these 2 cases becomes CRF.

That one works too. Only the lacing edges between layers 2-4 resp. between 2-5 are of size f. All others have unit size.
It has 60+30+60+60+30=240 vertices. Its cells then are

20 ikes
60 squippies
30+60+120+60=270 tets
20+20=40 tricues
60 trips
5 tuts

20 of the tricues are attached by their hexagons to the tuts. The other 20 ones are mutually pairwise attached by their hexagons. - Even so I cannot deduce anything about dihedral angles here, I would suppose that these tricu pairs arise from expanded tet pairs of ex. Accordingly these then would not recombine to orthobicupolae.

Fore sure. Did not consider other than single quirks then.

Above you are suggesting
ex = xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx
-> (-x)ffoo3xxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx (quirk in 1st layer, 1st node)
-> (-x)ffoo3xxoxf3foo(-x)o3oofFx&#zx (quirk in 4th layer, 3rd node)
-> oFFxx3xxoxf3Fxxox3oofFx&#zx (Stott expansion in 1st and 3rd node)

That one then will have 30+60+60+60+120=330 vertices. Lacing edges between layers 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, and 2-4 would come out as f and thus are to be discarded. Others are unit ones. Cells then are:

10 hips,
30 mibdis,
20 octs,
30+60=90 squippies,
20 thawroes,
20+20=40 tricues,
60+30=90 trips, and
5+5=10 tuts

Btw. there will be a further CRF (to be checked) with just 2 quirks in that subsymmetry. (More precisely it even would have an additional inversiv one, which reflects itself in the mirror symmetry of the final symbol.) :P
ex = xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx
-> (-x)ffoo3xxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx (quirk in 1st layer, 1st node)
-> (-x)ffoo3xxoof3fooxx3ooff(-x)&#zx (quirk in 5th layer, 4th node)
-> oFFxx3xxoof3fooxx3xxFFo&#zx (Stott expansion in 1st and 4th node)

The lacing triangles of the octs, pointing away from the trips, now get connected to the second set/side of bilbiroes (to lune-type triangles). The pentagons of both "sets" of bilbiroes then connect. - Again, there is just one class of bilbiroes, but because of ist lacking mirror symmetrical surroundings the same bilbiro acts with the one square in the one way, with the other one in the second one!

Kind of wildly brewed up another one :P

ex = xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx
-> (-x)ffoo3xxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx (1st level, 1st node)
-> offoo3(-x)xoof3Fooxo3ooffx&#zx (1st level, 2nd node)
-> oFfoo3(-x)(-x)oof3Fxoxo3ooffx&#zx (2nd level, 2nd node)
-> oFfoo3ooxxF3Fxoxo3ooffx&#zx (Stott 2nd node)

Examination then showed that the lacing edges 1-2, 1-3, 1-5, 2-4, and 2-5 all are of size f and thus are to be discarded. All other ones are of unity.

Building up the incidence matrix then provides an amount of 10+30+60+60+30=190 vertices and a cell list of

30 bilbiroes,
5+20=25 octs,
20 teddies,
20+60=80 tets,
20 tricues,
5 tuts.

This thing is really interesting! (esp. the way those bilbiro's are connected around the tet, and the added symmetry it has). I would really love to see some renders of this one. In fact I've not been able to completely understand it's structure, though I can understand quite big patches of it.
Anyway, I was thinking that if we could have a pSe with [[3,3,3]]-symmetry and bilbiroes, then maybe we might also have a pSe with [[3,3,3]]-symmetry and thawroes. This would be made like this:

ex = xffoo3oxoof3fooxo3ooffx&#zx
-> xFfoo3o(-x)oof3fxoxo3ooffx&#zx quirk at 2'nd layer, 2'nd node
-> xFfoo3oooof3f(-x)oxo3oxffx&#zx doubled the quirk at 3'rd node, 2'nd layer
-> xFfxo3ooo(-x)f3f(-x)ooo3oxfFx&#zx repeated this at the 4'th layer.
-E-> xFfxo3xxxof3foxxx3oxfFx&#zx expansion.

Of course, I didn't completely understand it's structure, but that's why I made its incmat, to be sure its structure is CRF.

As you can see, it has (2*20=) 40 thawroes, that are connected in an interesting way. One way to try to understand it's structure is by starting with a co. Now place pips on the squares of this co. This leaves you with eight uncovered co-triangles. Four of these can be filled up by thawroes, and four of these by tricues. The tricues will touch the thawroes at a triangle. On the tricues you place other tricues (of the "second kind"), which are in gyro-orientation. (they do have a dichoral angle <180, because the lacing edge between top and bottom doesn't equal u) On the top triangles of the tricues, you place coes (of the "second kind"). On the thawro's triangles that touch the hexagon, attatch small tetrahedra. On the squares of the thawro, attach pips (of the "second kind") in such a way that they also touch the tricu of the second kind at a square. The pip of the first kind has one kind of square left, on which you place thawroes (of the "second kind"). These thawroes touch the thawroes of the first kind at a triangle, the pip of the second kind at a pentagon, the pip of the first kind at a square, the thawro of the second kind at a hexagon, the tet at a triangle and the tricu of the second kind at a triangle as well.
These are two exeptionally interesting polytopes. We might call them watery bilbirochoron resp. watery thawrochoron. (making up funny names :XP: , so usefull)

Btw, we should gain some systematics on these expansions, will think bout that tomorrow.

Here that comes:
ex in this display can be written as x3o3f3o + f3x3o3o +f3o3o3f + etc.
possible quirks with (-x)'s on either of these are:
x3o3f3o:
(-x)3x3f3o
o3(-x)3F3o
stop

f3x3o3o:
F3(-x)3x3o
F3o3(-x)3x
F3o3o3(-x)
stop

f3o3o3f:
nothing with (-x)'s

All these (of course) have mirror images. This means we get the following:
negative first node:
(-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F
stop

negative second node:
o3(-x)3F3o + F3(-x)3x3o + x3(-x)3o3F
stop

negative 3rd node is the same as negative second node. This gives us the following possible single expansions:
first node expansion:
all the same + (-x)3x3f3o *
all the same + (-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F
stop

second node expansion:
all the same + F3(-x)3x3o *
all the same + F3(-x)3x3o + o3(-x)3F3o *
all the same + F3(-x)3x3o + x3(-x)3o3F
all the same + F3(-x)3x3o + o3(-x)3F3o + x3(-x)3o3F
stop

This gives us six possible single expansions (three new). We might also want to investigate double symmetrical expansions. in this case, we don't want a u-edge to appear, and we want it to be symmetrical. In the following summary I give one side only. mirrored diagrams must be done accordingly. This gives us:
Outside node expansions:
x3o3f3o must be changed.
(-x)3x3f3o + others the same ("watery bilbirochoron")
(-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F (+f3o3o3f) **
stop

inside node expansion:
f3x3o3o must be changed
F3(-x)3x3o must also be changed
F3o3(-x)3x + others the same ("watery thawrochoron") *
F3o3(-x)3x + o3(-x)3F3o (+f3o3o3f) **
stop.

All node expansion (is that even possible to be CRF?)
only F3o3o3(-x) and o3(-x)3F3o don't have an x.
F3o3o3(-x) + o3(-x)3F3o (+f3o3o3f) **
stop.

**: will form F+x, might be a problem/indication of not-CRF-ity. This might mean the watery thawrochoron resp. bilbirochoron are the only possible [[3,3,3]]-symmetrical expansions of ex. it might be that some expansions could be expanded to CRF-things, but that's not a direct derivative of ex.

non-symmetrical multi-node expansions:
first+second node:
x3o3f3o and f3x3o3o must be changed
(-x)3x3f3o must also be changed.
o3(-x)3F3o + F3(-x)3x3o + all others the same **
o3(-x)3F3o + F3(-x)3x3o + (-x)3o3o3F + all others the same **
stop

first+third node:
x3o3f3o and o3o3x3f must be changed.
(-x)3x3f3o + o3x3(-x)3F + all others the same *
(-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F + all others the same
(-x)3x3f3o + o3x3(-x)3F + o3F3(-x)3o + all others the same
(-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F + o3F3(-x)3o + all others the same
(-x)3x3f3o + o3x3(-x)3F + F3o3(-x)3x + all others the same **
(-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F + F3o3(-x)3x + all others the same **
(-x)3x3f3o + o3x3(-x)3F + o3F3(-x)3o + F3o3(-x)3x (+f3o3o3f) **
(-x)3x3f3o + (-x)3o3o3F + o3F3(-x)3o + F3o3(-x)3x (+f3o3o3f) **
stop

triple node expansions:
first+second+third node expansion:
only the last node can be x. this means f3x3o3o, o3o3x3f and x3o3f3o must change into F3o3(-x)3x, (-x)3o3o3F and o3(-x)3F3o. This means it will give **(F+x)-edges for sure
F3o3(-x)3x +(-x)3o3o3F + o3(-x)3F3o + all others the same **
F3o3(-x)3x+ (-x)3o3o3F + o3(-x)3F3o + o3F3(-x)3o (+f3o3o3f) **
stop.

first+second+fourth node expansion:
only the third node can be x. this means f3x3o3o, x3o3f3o and o3f3o3x must be changed into F3(-x)3x3o/F3o3o3(-x), o3(-x)3F3o and o3f3x3(-x). This will give only one **(F+x)-edge, but still it has one, possibly making non-CRF things.
F3(-x)3x3o + o3(-x)3F3o + o3f3x3(-x) + all others the same **
F3o3o3(-x) + o3(-x)3F3o + o3f3x3(-x) + all others the same **
F3(-x)3x3o + o3(-x)3F3o + o3f3x3(-x) + (-x)3o3o3F (+f3o3o3f) **
F3o3o3(-x) + o3(-x)3F3o + o3f3x3(-x) + (-x)3o3o3F (+f3o3o3f) **
stop

I guess triple and quadruple expansions are thus likely to fail.
* means that that one has already been investigated.

Of these, only fxFxo3xxooF3ofxoo3fooFx&#zx is the only one where every part has at least one x-lacing. This means that possibly the only thing my long post has given is fxFxo3xxooF3ofxoo3fooFx&#zx. it might be though that the (F+x)-things become CRF.

fxFxo3xxooF3ofxoo3fooFx&#zx is highly similar to the watery thawrochoron (When fxoo would have been changed to Fo(-x)x instead of F(-x)xo, and then expansion was done on both nodes, you would have had the watery thawrochoron). It has 20 thawroes, and some other stuff. I'm pretty sure it will be CRF.

This means that the (F+x)-things are the last one before we have exhaustively investigated this one.

Re: Construction of BT-polytopes via partial Stott-expansion

This makes me think, the demitessic pSe's haven't been exhaustive either. (first of all you can expand fooo3xxoF3xfxo*b3oxFo on the first node to get Fxxx3xxoF3xfxo*b3oxFo). Let's do a similar investigation as we have done on [[3,3,3]].

ex: o3f3o*b3o + f3o3x*b3o +etc.
Possible negative nodes with only (-x):
f3x3(-x)*b3o
F3(-x)3o*b3x
F3o3o*b3(-x)

branch negative nodes:
f3x3(-x)*b3o
F3o3o*b3(-x)

center negative node:
F3(-x)3o*b3x

branch node expansion:
single(3rd node):
f3x3(-x)*b3o + o3o3f*b3x + x3o3o*b3f +o3f3o*b3o (+o3f3o*b3o)*
f3x3(-x)*b3o + o3o3f*b3x + o3o3(-x)*b3F +o3f3o*b3o (+o3f3o*b3o)(*,not CRF)
stop.
double (1st and 3rd node):
f3x3(-x)*b3o + o3o3f*b3x + (-x)3x3o*b3f (+o3f3o*b3o)*
f3x3(-x)*b3o + o3o3f*b3x + o3o3(-x)*b3F (+o3f3o*b3o)(normal expansion of not-CRF single node expansion, thus not CRF)
f3x3(-x)*b3o + (-x)3o3F*b3o + o3o3(-x)*b3F (+o3f3o*b3o)**
triple:
All must be either f3x3(-x)*b3o or F3o3o*b(-x), thus it suffices to just say how many of either you use. Any F3o3o*b(-x) will make **
no F3o3o*b(-x) *
1 F3o3o*b(-x) **
2 F3o3o*b(-x) **
3(all) F3o3o*b(-x) **

center expansion:
again, you either do or don't have F3(-x)3o*b3x.
no F3(-x)3o*b3x * (icau prissi)
1 F3(-x)3o*b3x *
2&3 F3(-x)3o*b3x (*, not CRF)

Middle + branch expansion:
Single branch + center(1st+2nd node):
f3o3x*b3o + o3o3f*b3x + o3(-x)3x*b3F + o3f3o*b3o
f3o3x*b3o + (-x)3o3F*b3o + o3(-x)3x*b3F + o3f3o*b3o
F3(-x)3o*b3x + o3o3f*b3x + o3(-x)3x*b3F + o3f3o*b3o **
F3(-x)3x*b3o + (-x)3o3F*b3o + o3(-x)3x*b3F + o3f3o*b3o **
Double branch + center(1st+2nd+3rd node):
f3o3x*b3o must change into f3x3(-x)*b3o. f3x3(-x)*b3o must change into F3(-x)3o*b3x. this will give ** for sure
F3(-x)3o*b3x + o3o3f*b3x + o3o3(-x)*b3F + o3f3o*b3o **
F3(-x)3o*b3x + (-x)3o3F*b3o + o3o3(-x)*b3F + o3f3o*b3o **
all nodes: no x's allowed, thus F3o3o*b3(-x) + (-x)3o3F*b3o + o3o3(-x)*b3F +o3f3o*b3o is the only possible thing, with **.

summary: new things without **:f3o3x*b3o + o3o3f*b3x + o3(-x)3x*b3F + o3f3o*b3o and f3o3x*b3o + (-x)3o3F*b3o + o3(-x)3x*b3F + o3f3o*b3o expanded on 1st and 2nd node, thus Fxxx3xxoF3xfxo*b3oxFo&#zx and Foxx3xxoF3xFxo*b3ooFo.
Foxx3xxoF3xFxo*b3ooFo has only one lacing edge of length x (lacing edge 1-3), thus being discarted. This means that if the **'s don't give CRF's, Fxxx3xxoF3xfxo*b3oxFo&#zx is the only "new" one.
(again, * means "has already been investigated", and ** means "produces (F+x)-edges" )
