What is polygonal torus that occurs in prismic cylinders?

I have never heard that before...

If possible, Could anyone attach some picture examples?

(e.g triangular torus or pentagonal torus or higher-gonal torus)

A usual circular torus is obtained, when a small circle is running along a perpendicular larger one.
A polygonal torus is obtained when a polygon is running along a perpendicular larger circle. Or when interchanging their roles.
And, for sure, you could replace both circles by polygons each. This then is what usually is depicted by aproximants.
