shockwaves

when we set off an explosion down here in the third dimension, it makes shockwaves in the third dimension. do these shockwave also trravel into the fourth dimension? or are they only 3-d because the explosion was 3-d? or do they stay 3-d until space curves, and then they go off into 4-d?
by shockwaves i mean the vibrations that can kill people when a bomb goes off, even if the people are not near the bomb
