when do you learn the things like euclidian space and all that stuff? like reiman's geometry. is it in highschool geometry/trig or college?

[edit] this might have should have been in off topic..

You don't.

Most of the stuff here you'd learn in university or not at all.

I happen to get most of my info from wikipedia and mathworld.

There are introductory books out there on non-Euclidean geometries. My first taste was in a (relatively non-mathy) book called Euclidean and Non-Euclidean Geometries: Development And History by Greenberg. As for Riemannian geometry proper I wouldn't expect that until you've managed your way through all the variants of calculus (differential, integral, and vector in that order, at least), a chunk of analysis, some topology, and probably a bit of algebra to boot. Then you'd learn some tensor calculus, maybe some more algebra, and probably smack in the middle of some god awful differential geometry course you'd learn about Riemannian geometry. At least that's how I believe things worked for me.

-___- W/M is easy enough for anyone used to mathematical grammar.

I guess I would have started reading them properly when I was 16, after my GCSEs.
