to the 2nd power wrote:Hello,
I am in 9th grade and I am doing a project in geometry on living in the second dimension. I do not no much about it and I was wondering if anyone else on this forum does. I want to make an animation on a day in the life of a man in the 2nd dimesnion, but i would like to include all of the laws in it. Thank you!
This website should have more than enough information:

Its a complete story by a Victorian monk, Edwin Abbot, written in 1884. It describes the experiences of a 2D character called A. Square (I think you can guess what shape he is). However, the story is a product of its time, so it does contain some not so respectful comments about women, etc.
You can also, of course, look at

One thing you should decide on before starting your animation is what type of 2D world you want. Do you want a "floor" world (no gravity) or a "wall" world (gravity). Obviously, that's going to have major implications for the inhabitants of your world.
