2D digestive track revisited

Ideas about how a world with more than three spatial dimensions would work - what laws of physics would be needed, how things would be built, how people would do things and so on.

How about a shutter system. What I mean is two shutters. When the food come near 1 opens the food enters it closes. then the other 1 opens food goes through it closes. What do you think.

Edit: Evolution wise a part of it would operate as a nutrient absorber

These were discussed in the book "Planiverse". They don't need an in-and-out part. They send everything in and out through the same part, or they could be like a slug, and use a digestive flap (like under an arm), and do it that way. The planiverse by a k dewdney is an interesting novel that sets out many 2d things.
The dream you dream alone is only a dream
the dream we dream together is reality.
