Best Way to Fill Polytopes

Postby ubersketch » Sun Dec 24, 2017 2:39 pm

Let's review the ways we can fill in polytopes.

Traditional/Solid Filling
Just fill every single hole in.

Binary Filling
Fills every odd numbered density in but doesn't fill in even density.

Density Filling
Every non-zero density hole is filled in.

Natural Density Filling
Same as Density Filling but non-orientables are filled in Binary style.

Compact Density Filling
Same as Density Filling except non-orientables are filled in Traditional style.

Which one is the best?

Depends on the shape itself where distinguishing components is a priority.
