Just stumbled across this today:

Particularly interesting is the part about "a growing body of scientific evidence showing that the brain can change with stimulation and is in striking contrast with the pervasive and only-recently outmoded belief that our brain’s structure is fixed". Does that mean that, if stimulated in the right ways, the brain could potentially develop a facility to actually visualize 4D? Say, we invent some kind of cybernetic interface that stimulates the brain until it develops a "4D eye" hooked up to a feed that sends computer-generated 3D projections of 4D objects?
